The 7th grade teachers and the Maine National Guard will be working with the 7th grade students for one day this week to talk about healthy living and relationships (interactions). They will talk about the short term and long term goal setting, techniques for effective communication, drug free life style, and how to respond to outside influences. The Maine National Guard only works with a select few middle schools with this program, we feel very lucky to have their services for our kids.
We have placed the teachers' homework calendars on the Calendar drop down menu above. Each grade level team has a separate homework calendar and the unified arts teachers have their own listed. If you have any questions about a specific homework assignment, please contat the teacher diretly.

There is also the issue of subject matter that may be inappropriate for the child’s age and maturity level. There is strong evidence to support the idea that children should generally read about characters who are not more than two years older than themselves when reading fiction.
