September 2nd is the first student day of school.  Student drop off is from 7:30-7:40.  See you then!!!

FMS Student Schedules for 2014-15

All of the student schedules for 2014-15 have been mailed out.  If you have any questions or concerns please email groganr@rsu5.org or lathamp@rsu5.org or call the middle school.  Schedules for 7th and 8th grade students are also available on PowerSchool.

FMS Coaches Needed

We are still looking for 2 boys soccer coaches and 1 field hockey coach for the fall.  If you are interested please call Craig Sickels at 865-4706.

6th Grade Summer Math

Students entering grades one through six are invited to participate in the Summer Math Olympics, independent practice to stay sharp in math. Each grade level math menu includes activities, games, worksheets, websites, and books.  This form and many links will be available on each school website.

Middle School Summer Must Reads

as suggested by 6th and 7th grade Eat, Read, Laugh discussion groups and Mrs. Hooper

The Ability by M.M. Vaughan - While Chris and five other twelve-year-olds learn to make the most of their mental abilities in a secret, government-run school last used in 1977, twins Ernest and Mort are studying under someone with much more sinister motives.

8th Grade Promotion & Bowling Activity

The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held in the FMS gym on Wednesday June 18th at 6:30pm. Suggested attire for boys is button-down shirt, dress pants/khakis, tie is optional; for girls dresses or skirts.

FMS - State Report Card Grade

The Maine Department of Education has released a letter grade for each school in the state today.

5th Grade Transition Information

Freeport Middle School would like to welcome 5th grade parents and students to our information night at the middle school on May 15th at 6:30 p.m.  Mrs. Latham, our guidance counselor, myself and a few students will give future students and parents an overview our school.

8th Grade Celebration

The 8th grade celebration will be Wednesday June 18 at 6:30pm in the middle school gym.  We will be celebrating all of the 8th grade students' great successes.  After the celebration, the 8th grade students are invited by the PTC to go Bowling in Brunswick until 11pm.
