Freeport Middle School students are teamed together with a common group of teachers. The teachers work togther on interdisciplnary and experiential learning.

Social Studies- US History, Reconstruction through Great Depression, Economics.
Science - Ecology- forest ecosystem, succession, forest data collection and analysis
Force and Motion- Newton's laws of motion, experimentation, data collection and analysis

Seasons - sun's position due to earth's tilt and the angle the rays hit the earth
Astronomy- solar system, electromagnetic spectrum and how it is used to detect phenomena in space, star formation, asteroids, meteors, planets
Structure of matter - molecule activity in solid, liquids and gases and the relationship between them
Chemistry- solutions, simple replacement reactions, chemical / physical change, periodic table
Languange Arts - Reading and writing, via workshop model
Math - Algebra
